Spam Is Everywhere.   Using Images  to display email addresses, or using contact forms and not using mail-to links is one way to help avoid spam.    If your email address is on a page, it will be harvested by spam-bots.

There is no cure for spam.   If there was, well we wouldn't have spam would we?
